The VA GIS Conference has been organized and sponsored annually by the Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions (VAPDC) for eighteen years. The GIS Conference draws over 400 professionals from local, state and federal governments, the private sector, and universities. Begining in 2009, the VAPDC will partner with the Virginia Association of Mapping and Land Information Systems (VAMLIS) to enhance the statewide GIS conference.

Location and Lodging
The 2008 Virginia GIS Conference will be held at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in downtown Roanoke, Virginia (110 Shenandoah Avenue).

ONLINE ROOM RESERVATIONS

Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center is holding a block of rooms at the rate of $126 per night (single, plus taxes) for Sunday, September 28 and Monday, September 29. Request the “Virginia GIS Conference” room rate when making reservations. Call the hotel at 1-866-594-4722 for reservations. Rooms are limited, so please reserve as early as possible. All room reservations must be made by September 2.

Conference Meals
Registration fees include: continuous refreshments and both luncheons.

Parking
Parking is available onsite. Overnight parking is $7. Daily parking is $1.50-$5. Valet Parking is $10. Rates are subject to change.

Vendors
