
The Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Advisory Council on Homelessness (formerly the Roanoke Valley Task Force on Homelessness), facilitates and coordinates the region's efforts to prevent, treat, and end homelessness and serves as the lead entity for the area's Continuum of Care planning process. The Advisory Council includes the counties of Alleghany, Botetourt, Craig, and Roanoke; the cities of Covington, Roanoke, and Salem, and the towns of Clifton Forge and Vinton.
